Forms not persisting

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

We recently updated our on-premise CRM 2016 version 8.1 to 8.2.

We have multiple forms on some of our entities like Accounts and Contacts. We are noticing that if the user switches forms and closes the record and opens either the same record or another record, a different form loads instead of the last form that was selected by the user.

The user selected form is not preserved. This is different behavior from what our users are used to in CRM 2016 8.1 and even the previous CRM 2015 version.

Has anyone else experienced this behavior and know of any way to change it back to the CRM 2016 8.1 behavior?

Thanks,
Bob

May be worth clearing all browser cache after turning off legacy form rendering.  On my machine, running Chrome, the forms did not persist until after doing so.  Otherwise best of luck with the ticket!

    Hi Luke,

Yes, we've tried that setting to no avail. We're having the issue with Turbo forms turned on as well.

System Administrator security role also gets the issue.

Opening a support case with Microsoft has been useless as always.

    Hi Bob

I found this to be a bug when using legacy form rendering in 8.2.  Disabling this in System Settings resolves this although turbo forms may cause other issues.

I'm having the same issue. This is consistent with the Admin role as well, in my case.

This shouldn't be the case most of the time.

But there is a thing you can check for the security role, whether the user has any privilege to "User Entity UI Settings".

User admin has the same issue or not?
