Is it possible to set email address as username if Local Auth is the preferred method of authenticating portal users?

In the past I have seen authentication related settings not properly invalidate. Try using the reset/restart option in the Application management.

I saw that and set the value to true but somehow its not pushing my updates to the portal, seems like cache invalidation is not working with CRM portal online.

The following site setting has existed since 7.0.0018 and continues to work in v8.x. Just add it as a site setting for your site and set the value to true.

Authentication/Registration/LocalLoginByEmail
