Configuring transport calendar to take into account trailer days

All,

A freight forwarder we use have twice a week trailer service from UK to mainland Europe, Tuesdays and Fridays. The forwarder will collect pallets from our warehouse everyday, but the delivery to the customer is dependant on which trailer it goes on. Allowing for the time to book the transport (usually 24 hrs notice) and transit time to a customer of 6 days, we may have following scenario.
  • Goods collected from our warehouse on Thursday and Friday will go on Tuesday's trailer.
  • Goods collected from our warehouse on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday will go on Friday's trailer.
Is there a way to configure this using transport days, transport calender and modes of delivery etc. to correctly simulate the dispatch and delivery dates without using advanced warehousing processes?

Hope to getting some pointers from the community.

Thanks,

Amit
