I used to be able to connect via Econnect when we were in GP V8, but we are now on GP 2013 (for a couple of years now) and I have the need to do some integrations which really could use econnect. The ecoonnect stored procedures already exist in our database, and I was wondering if there is a way to intall econnect on my workstatuion that will not cause changes to the econnect stored procedures on the server. We have a number of Scribe jobs using the econnect stored procedures, so I really don't want changes to those.
Any advice? Can I get integration manager to use Econnect on my workstation without causing server changes> What would I need to install. Econnect is currently has a red x and says Econnect must be installed to install this feature. How do I install, and if I install will it cause changes to the stored procedures on the company database on the server?

I have the same question (0)Hello,
It is actually the installation of Dynamics GP that puts down the eConnect stored procedures and tables that you're most likely currently using, so based on that, installing eConnect shouldn't do anything to those procedures.
That being said, at the minimum, I would make sure you have backups of the DYNAMICS system database and any company databases for GP, if not a completely separate test environment you could try this on to make sure that installing eConnect doesn't impact your Scribe jobs.
Thanks,
