Business Central W1 on prem - Excel Add In

Hi

We are looking into a business central installation for W1, the client wants to know if they can edit a journal in excel, like in the SaaS version of BC.
Is that functionality available for BC W1 version 17

    Yes, but the on-premise version is going to require an Azure AD Replication (now called Entra ID) setup to be completed.  Once you complete that the office integration should function about the same.
     
     
    P.S. I don't think you'll be able to license version 17, nor would you want to.

    Yes, it is possible, but the setup is quite complicated. Hope the following helps.
    Setting up the Business Central Add-in for Excel in Business Central On-premises:
     
     
    However, please note that BC17 has been end of support, please upgrade to the latest version as soon as possible.
