Production item tied to sales order won't ship in dynamic ship even though reserve is set to never on item card and inventory is available

I set the Reserve field to Never on the Item Card for a Production Item.

I created a Sales Order for the Item and used Planning to create a Production Order.

The Reserved Quantity field was populated with the order quantity.

I have enough inventory to fill the order without closing the Production Order, but Dynamic Ship Order Packaging gives me "Validation Results - Reserved Item is not on inventory" when I try to post the shipment.

Is there a different way to turn off Item Reservations in Business Central or Dynamic Ship?

    Yes.  It is a collection of "handy dandy" production manufacturing oriented applets.  You can install it in a sandbox and it will activate a perpetual trial.  We are working on a lot more videos, but three core ones are on YouTube under the Sabre Limited channel.

    Unfortunately the Planning features of Sales Orders create reservations and this cannot be turned off.

    We have added an ISV solution to AppSource (has a cost) that adds a different button and does basically the same thing without the reservation (and a lot of other features).

    I feel your pain :)

    Hi Bob - I am unaware about what are the possibilities of Dynamic Ship, as it is a ISV add-on, I suggest you reach out to their support team. Specific product knowledge is reserved to those product companies only

    I am bit confused, is your question regarding consumption of inventory or reservation of inventory? The error seems to tell a different story than your question
