Is it possible to translate Events

Our events cater to both anglophones and francophones, therefore the Event Portal must be 100% bilingual.

It seems that Events (titles, sessions etc) are not translatable. Is this indeed the case? Is there any decent workaround?

I have the same question (0)

RE: Is it possible to translate Events

    Hi,

By default, a single Event record can only support text for one language.

The Event Portal is localizable as part of included functionality with Dynamics 365 Portals.

To edit or create new localizable pages, navigate to Portals > Websites and open the record named Event Portal. Drill down to the individual records to make modifications to localizations.

To be able to view the Event Portal in another language, the following must be done:

    1. Install the language pack in Dynamics CRM.
    2. Add the Language to the website record’s Supported Languages list with a Publishing State of Published.
    3. Create localized web pages and content snippets for the new language.
    4. Set the Preferred Language Lookup on appropriate Portal Contacts to the new language.

Please refer to the following link to know more about it.

Thanks for all your help so far Nya.

You say, a single event record can only be in one language, "by default". So can we change this default? I presume not.

Could I create a English event and a French event, and when someone registers to the French event, use a flow to copy the registration to the other English event? Would this also trigger insights for the contacts?

    Hi,

This scenario you propose is still effectively two different events.

Even if you use flow to copy the registration information from one of the events to the other, it will still be distinguished in the insights of the contact.

If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.
