I'm trying to filter a field within a dynamics 365 dashboard. I see the option for filtering but it's grayed out. It's a simple list view imported to a dashboard.
The field is in german but filtern nach means filter by.

It could be by design that list column filter is not supported in dashboard, I also tested in my environment which has enabled 2020 wave 1 early access for what you had found.
You could click ellipsis at top right corner and select "See all records" to quickly navigate to entity list view and do filter in it.
