Test and Enable mailbox keeps failing

I am with a user who has entered her correct mailbox password, however Test and Enable keeps failing and we are not getting any error messages in Alerts. This is working for other users except here. Any help would be appreciated. CRM 2015 On-Prem.

    This has been resolved. Turns out the user is a Office 365 admin which uses 2 step password authentication, which is unrecognized by CRM. An app password needed to be entered into the mailbox.

    Okay then if you are using email router check the user mail I'd is retrieving and able to send mail thought tat

    I've already Approved the mailbox, still same issue.

    Might the user email I'd not approved by admin for sending emails. Pls follow the below thread how to approve and test email.

    1 - we tried this twice and it's still failing.

    2 - Can you please elaborate on how we can check this?
