Transfer Configuration Templates from one company to another

Hello,
is it possible to transfer configuration templates from one company to another (same tenant). We have a lot for customers etc and rather than recreate them it would be easier to just transfer them.
Thanks

Are you referring to the Templates below? If so, you can transfer these by using table 1381 in the configuration package.

    HI,
    Thanks for your reply.
I was able to export it using a config template and then import it – all fine there. But the last step which calls the templates when you hit ‘new customer’ fails to select the templates – so one step missing.

Just to be 100% clear, there are two different capabilities here.

Configuration Packages contain data, such as Customers.  When you Export a Configuration Package it also exports the data.  When you Import the Configuration Package it will have the data waiting to be Applied to the new company.  Just be sure you don't include fields that may be unique to the company like certain system generated ID fields.

Configuration Templates contain field level data, but not specific to any Customers.  They are used to fill in Gen. Bus. Posting Group, Customer Posting Group, etc. related to adding new Customer records to a company.  While you can't Export Config. Templates directly, you can create a Config. Package to Export the Templates and then apply that Package in your new company.

I would encourage you to reach out to your BC partner if you need assistance migrating the data between the companies.

    Best Regards,
