Menu button unable to see in Visual Studio

Hello,

I'm learning the MSD365FO and need for your help, anyhelp is very much appreciated.

I'm trying to find out which report has been run when the menu item button for printout is clicked but unable to find the menu button. Those buttons and are visible in prod. environment but when I look in the AOT those buttons are not visible. Those buttons I think is not standard, which lead to extending the form and add those buttons but I cannot see it in Visual Studio. Is it possible that the PROD and DEV is not sync or maybe the buttons is added runtime or what I am missing.

Form: CustConfirmJournal

Form Extensions CustConfirmJournal.BC

Menu Button: Lasernet

Menu Item Button: Lasetnet Copy Preview

Note: I don't have access yet to DEV. F&O app thus I can't test if the button is visible or not. I will update again once I test it.

Thank you very much in advance.

I have the same question (0)

Ah, ok so you mean you can't access the D365FO instance in your dev system.

You can run the AdminProvisioningTool to grant yourself access. You just need to be aware that you still should use account from your customer's O365, or your customer's ISV solutions will not show up in the system. If you use O365 account from another tenant, the system will be associated with that other tenant, and ISV licenses that were created for your customer tenant will not work.

    Hi Nikolaus,

Thanks again for the reply. I'm using different account for logging in Dev. VM and Dev. Sandbox(D365FO app). Customer gave us the Admin credentials in order to log in Dev. VM and we use a corporate email account for log in sandbox(D365FO app). I hope I have answered the query.

    Hi Ronald,

I think there is a certain difference from Azure / Cloud versions.

    Please read these guid:

I have exact same question as Nikolaos. How do you know it's not present in AOT if you don't have access ?

    Hi Ronald

If I remember correctly, in Lasernet solution buttons are added in runtime. In Ax2012 there was class LACFormUIBuilder where it has happened. You can check if you see the same class in D365 F&O.

All menuItemButtons on forms can be found either in the form definition, or in a form extension (in AOT).

You said that you look in the AOT, but you don't have access to DEV. How did you see the AOT then?
