Sales Accelerator

Good day!   We want to use a custom model driven app to implement the Sales accelerator, but it seems that only the Sales Hub app can support it.   Can someone answer the following question :  Is it possible to configure the sales accelerator  with a custom model driven app? and if so what are the extra steps needed to succeed.
