Unposted Fixed Assets Batch IDs security

This isn't a question, as much as information so someone else doesn't spend two hours or more trying to figure this out.

We upgraded a client from GP2010 to GP2015. The client uses Fixed Assets and a user needed security to the GL Posting window and the Unposted Fixed Assets Batch IDs lookup window.  The GL Posting window was simple, but the Unposted Fixed Assets Batch IDs window was not as easy to find.  I looked under Fixed Assets - Windows - Financial and Microsoft Dynamics GP - Windows Financial and the window was no where to be found.  I looked in the blogs and did google searches trying to find it.  I was going to submit a case as I needed to figure this out since the production upgrade as about to happen.  I took a chance and asked one of our support consultants and sure enough he had had the same issue in support and was able to tell me right away that it was under the company series. So in security I went to Fixed Assets - Windows - Company - Fixed Assets, Fixed Asset Batch IDs.

Hopefully, this helps the net person looking for this window.

    Of course that's where it is...why not?  Thank you for this post because you saved me 90 minutes as I've spent the last half hour looking for the needle.  To help others who may query for the solution in ways I did:  On Fixed Asset General Ledger Posting window, user is unable to use magnifying/looking glass to lookup previously unposted batches.  User receives "You don't have security privileges to open this window.  Contact your system administrator for assistance."  And this SQL script helped locate the window we wanted to give access to:

    SELECT * FROM DYNAMICS..SY09400

    WHERE DICTID = 309

    AND SECURITYID = 22117

    AND SECRESTYPE = 2

    Where the results also indicate the access is granted from the Series >> Company

    Thanks Tina!  This was on the money and helped save me a bunch of time.  I was excited to see your name on this one.  Take care!

    I created a new TASK ID for it and assigned it to my custom Role for FA Managers.

    Product = Fixed Assets

    Type = Window

    Series = Company

    Thanks Tina, that has been really helpful! Although I did spend about an hour testing different security tasks before doing a web search. I did see the "Fixed Asset Batch IDs" task but thought it was the same as "FA Batch IDs" under Fixed Assets|Windows|Financial so didn't tick it "FA Batch IDs" was already ticked under another security task.
