Flat file integration

Hi all,

Understand that D365FO would recommend API integration between external system and D365FO and this is probably best practice these days.

However, let's say for some reasons, we have to do a flat file integration (eg, importing a .csv, excel or txt file) from a folder into D365FO application.

Is it still possible? I heard from technical that if we can connect to SFTP server through winscp or filezilla application then D365FO can connect to that application.

In addition, is there any documentation from Microsoft on this yet? Or if anyone has done this before in D365FO itself?

Please share your experience, thanks in advance all.

    Is SFTP your requirement or are you open for other alternatives as well?

    Hi jasonandmary,

    Not to forget about what has already been mentioned, we also have electronic reporting that can import csv, excel and txt files.

    That's another option you can have a look at.
