Hi Experts,

I need some suggestions or ideas in regards to my requirement.

We are using Dynamics 365 Online still experimenting with it. We would like to have a centralized calendar system where users can update their availability in the calendar and based on their availability, their managers could assign them to certain tasks. So, two things here, a centralized calendar where users can see only their data and managers will have access to everyone's calendar. Obviously we will tying up email notifications or text messages as the communication point between the users and managers from the application.

Any suggestions what would be best approach to accommodate it in Dynamics 365? I did check resource scheduling but it appears to be the opposite of what I need.

Can some one please guide me through this. Thanks in advance.

I think you can achieve this with service module and workplace calendars:

I don't see a workplace calendar in service module. Can you provide more information about it? I can't find much online except for the link you provided. Can this act as a shared calendar where users can use it as their personal calendar as well as a shared one with whoever has permissions? Thank you.
