Rename server

Dear all,

I have a server (let say SERVERA) preinstalled with AX AOS, SQL, SSRS.

The instances of SQL and SSRS are SERVERA\AXSQLSERVERA

Now I would like to rename the server from SERVERA to SERVERB as well as the instances.

May I know is there any other way, other than uninstall AOS, SQL, SSRS and reinstall back?

How much effort would it take?

Thanks and Regards,

Lieu

    Hi LIEU,

Am not sure if it is possible to edit the server name

the replication of the existing may cause a lot of error and logs.

I guess the best thing you can do is removing & installing both AXAOS modules and SQL instance and then restore yyour db data again as much as possible.

You might also read this solution links for details:
