Is anyone else getting this error: Error: Update failed with an internal error FirstPartySync and is being investigated. Is this a known issue with MS? Are they taking any action if so?

    Yes its a known issue by Microsoft. There is another thread with more info - Update 23.5 to 24.0 Business Central (dynamics.com)

    Hi,
     
    It should be fixed now. if you still have some issues, please report it to Microsoft.
     
    This issue is not only with Microsoft extension, but this error may also be generated by PTE and other apps.
     
    Microsoft can provide details of app causing issue and then you can fix it.
