Relationship Assistant on Custom Dashboard

Posted on by 20

I want to add Relationship Assistant on Custom System Dashboard, but after publish and open dashboard it doesn't work. Sometimes in the place where must be a Relationship Assistant on  Dashboard I see some list with as I think records action cards. But this feature doesn't work as it work on Customer Service Manager Dashboard.

RE: Relationship Assistant on Custom Dashboard

Not sure if anyone found an answer to this question, but i think i found a work-around.

    Method A:

I went to the Customer Service Representative Social Dashboard (OOB) and clicked "Save As" in the ribbon.  Gave it a new name, removed all the tiles i didn't want, added the tiles that i did want, and saved.  Every once in a while it looks like the What's New tile isn't going to load, but a refresh typically brings it back up.

I haven't tested sharing with others - i assume that they will see their own Assistant when shared?

    Method B:

I also noticed that the Assistant tile from the Cust Svc Rep Social Dashboard is a Web Resource titled : msdyn_/PersonalWall.htm.  I was able to *nearly* replicate the Assistant tile by:

    Edit your dashboard

    Add a Web Resource

In Web Resource Properties:  Web resource = msdyn_/PersonalWall.htm (search and select)

Name= PersonalWall  (will be prefixed by "WebResource_" automatically)

    Label = Personal Wall

Adding a new Web Resource following the above steps, however, resulted in looonnnggg loading times for the tile and Relationship Assistant reminders did not "fly in" as the do with the tile on the OOB Cust Svc Rep Social Dashboard - i think that something must be missing in adding it new.

My suggestion is to following Method A: and just replace unwanted tiles but don't change the properties of the Assistant tile.

    Hope this helps!

RE: Relationship Assistant on Custom Dashboard

We are facing this issue as well. We designed a custom dashboard from scratch, added Relationship Assistant block from ribbon, published and still it is facing the user as an empty block on the dashboard.
So to all of you arriving here from google , I just found this is a known issue:

Got it. I never had this working in web client.

We are using UCI Mobile app, where you can have both Timeline (only in UCI) & Relationship assistant in dashboard & Entity forms. This works nicely.

My guess is CSR Social dashboard uses classic wall (not Timeline). I wonder how you make it working in existing dashboard. It broke for me.

When creating a dashboard there is an element "Relationship Assistant", when i add it to the dashboard the it's invisible.

What i expect is something similar as Customer Service Representative Social dashboard Relationship Assistant info.

What am i doing wrong, or am i not understandig it correctly? I have every thing enabled and relationship cards are showing on records forms as well.

Not sure what you are seeing vs what you are expecting.

Relationship assistant part of Relationship Insights helps you to take action by reminding you about actionable insights card.

You have to configure/Enable Email activity card, Productivity card, etc to leverage predictive analysis using Machine learning (similar to Cortana suite) on our CRM data.

Once configured & based on email, meetings you will be able to see action cards.
