Any limitations on importing file attachments into Dynamics CRM cloud instance

Are there any limitations on importing file attachments into Dynamics CRM cloud instance. We were planning to extract file attachments that are close to 70K files with different formats(pdf, word, excel, txt, etc,) and closed to total file size of 120 GB. Maximum file size of these files are around 48 MB. We are importing these files into annotation entity in Dynamics CRM using SSIS import job. Appreciate your input on this.

I have the same question (0)

I would say store your files SharePoint.

Much lower cost for storing the file in SharePoint

    Hi,

since you're plannig to migrate all those files , may a suggest you to use the azure blob storage?

I think it's cleaner and cheaper.

    Take a look at this:

    Hi Raj,

Please refer to the answers of the two experts above.

If you need to upload a file to D365 as an attachment, then you need to set the size limit of the attachment first.

Go to System Settings, under Email tab, we can see Maximum file size (in kilobytes), it defaults to 5,120 (5mb).

We can modify it to the maximum of 131,072 (128mb).

In this case, the single file you upload needs to be less than 128mb.

Thanks for the update. We have different Business organization that they do not share their data with each other. I heard there are known security concerns using SharePoint. Please confirm.

Thanks for the update. I assume other clients are started using this AZURE blob storage now as the article say it is not to be used in PRODUCTIONand not officially supported in the year 2017.

    Yes,

it's widely used as well as other form of Attachments storage (such as Sharepoint).

For more information take a look at the app source page, and make up your mind:
