Can anyone please tell me the licensing options for SL in relation to costs involved, i want to upgrade from one band to another band, let say from 0-100 to 100 - 300 bands, what are the cost implications vs benefits?

At the moment, the licensing options for all Dynamics products are a bit complicated, because they are trying to standardize all of them.
For Dynamics SL, if you bought recently under "Business Ready Licensing" (BRL) you have the option to trade up from a basic version to an advanced version.
That gives you the ability to get more advanced modules, and to get more users (I think the basic is capped at either 10 or 25)
I'm not sure what you mean by "bands", but if you mean users, that will depend on what KINDS of users you need. There are several kinds:
1. The basic users that can access all modules.
2. FRx users who can access FRx (this is independent of the SL users)
3. Payroll users who can get paychecks calculated.
4. Time Entry users who can enter time cards and have them post.
5. SQL users, if you do not have an enterprise version of SQL.
6. Business portal users who can use Business Portal.
Whew! Didn't realize there were that many!!
