SQL Server Page Verify Option Torn Page Detection vs Checksum

I noticed a business database with the page verify option to set Torn page detection rather than Checksum.  Curious what the default setting is for a freshly installed database, or what people prefer to use for AX 2012.

    Microsoft Operations Management Suite is flagging our AXDB_model database for this. "One or more user databases are configured with the PAGE_VERIFY not set to the CHECKSUM option. This may affect the integrity of your database files and could lead to data loss." I don't want to change it to CHECKSUM without getting assurance that it wasn't set this way for a specific reason.

    I switched my model store to CHECKSUM some time ago, and then did a rebuild on all indexes which as I understand should have re-written most of the index and data pages.  I also switched by business database to CHECKSUM, but am not able to do a rebuild on all indexes yet due to time and storage constraints.
