Redirection after Login/Logout (ReturnURL)

Hi,

I am having trouble with correctly setting the ReturnURL after logout and the ReturnURL after login in my Portal.

in D365 Portals, how do I effectively set up to achieve the following:

  • Once a user successfully logs in, he shall be directed to a specific page of the Portal (e.g. Knowledge Base)
  • Once a user logs out and logs in again, he shall always be directed to a specific page of the Portal (e.g. Knowledge Base) EVEN IF he logs out from some other site (e.g. Support)

I have tried with various Site Settings, but none of them takes a permanent effect.

    Hi Tino,

    I had the same require few months back but couldn't get any reference on how can I achieve it. As the templates are not available, we can't either customize.

    I ended up with a workaround of adding a button within the home page with the return URL to my support page. So when someone opens the portal, instead of clicking the sign in from top, they click the custom sign in button which redirects to the support page post login.

    Below is the code snippet of my customized  home  web template

          <a style="color:#ffffff;background-color:#0B80D0" href="~/signin?returnUrl=%2Fsupport" class="btn btn-info-home btn-lg-home" title="Sign In">Sign In</a>
