Customizing Approval Email

Hi,

We have recently subscribed to Dynamics Business Central.

I am looking for professional help on customizing Order approval email templates.

Requirement is as follows;

1. For First time approval - add "New Order" to Subject Line.

2. Approval for Revised orders - add "Revised Order" to subject line.

3. We want to attach Order Comments Lines to the Email Body.

Hope someone can point me on the right direction.

TIA!

Regards,

SM

    Hello,

    Welcome here!

You can have a look here (bulletpoint 3):

    docs.microsoft.com/.../across-setting-up-workflow-notifications

But I am sure others and MVP's will assist as well.

    Thanks.

    Marco

    Hello SM! :-),

I think you may want to take a look into Codeunit 1510 - Notification Management.

In there you can find functions as "ReplaceTokensWithApprovalInfo" that manages what will appear in the Notification emails.

I guess you will need to customize a bit that code to add/remove what you need, to get the 3 requirements you are asking for included in the Email Templates sent as notifications from Workflow.

    I hope it helps :-)

    Shaishav,

You can define the layout of email notifications by customizing Report 1320, Notification Email. Here is a link on how to create the Custom Report Layout via RDLC:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../ui-how-create-custom-report-layout

Note that on the Notification Setup you can define the Notification Type and Method.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve
