Dear Experts,

I want to cancel a PO  receipt , as usual on packing slip lines there is cancel option(as shown in above screenshot), and when we cancel it, so it will be canceled but this time i am facing error as shown in the above screenshot and the error is"quantity cannot be returned because items have already been returned or marked as open transactions"

    Thanks for you kind reply, the issue is still open, i need to cancel packing list line(as we have received inventory, so we want to remove GRN).we have made GRN(Goods receive note). So we would do it from the Packing list line there is an button(Cancel). As we did many time,but this time facing the above error.

    Is the inventory transaction you have for the receipt from the packing list still there? If you have used it you cannot cancel it, because, well, you have used it :-) Can you show us the inventory transaction at the goods receipt point with full quantity still in the same place and the actual error message you get?

    Watch the Packinglist line and error as we want to cancel.

    Look at the inventory transactions for that item associated with the purchase order receipt and the quantity did not exist anymore, you have used it therefore cannot return it

    Thanks for your kind reply, now, i need to know to cancel even i tried many time but in vain, please also check the above screenshot with showing error of (Customer invoice/DN no(Product receipt) for that PO).

    Look at the inventory transactions, you have used the stock I imagine. You cannot cancel something you have used.

    There is any way to reverse this process, through code, script or any other thing, just to resolve the issue.

    Cancelling a PO receipt is saying it never happened. If you book in the item and then use it then it happened. You cannot force a cancellation when you have used it. You can create a return order and send it back that way if you can find it, but you cannot cancel a receipt when the receipt has been used.
