Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I am a user of Microsoft Dynamics. I am writing to seek clarification and assistance regarding an issue I have encountered with the signature picture in emails sent through Dynamics.

The problem I am facing is related to the signature picture displaying larger than intended when sent to clients or recipients. While the signature picture appears normal and appropriately sized within the Dynamics email composer, it seems to become disproportionately large when viewed by recipients.

I have taken the following steps to ensure that the issue is not on my end:

Checked and resized the signature image: I verified that the signature image I am using conforms to standard dimensions and is appropriately sized.
Tested on different devices: I sent test emails to different devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones, and the issue persisted across all of them.
Verified signature settings: I reviewed the signature settings within Microsoft Dynamics to ensure there are no issues related to scaling or resizing.

Despite these efforts, the problem continues to occur, and I am unsure how to resolve it. It is crucial for our company's professional image that our emails appear correctly when received by clients and partners.

I kindly request your support in investigating and resolving this matter as soon as possible. Please provide any insights, guidance, or troubleshooting steps I can take to rectify the signature picture size issue in Dynamics.

Signature picture

I'm having the exact same problem and I just found out what caused the problem.

I have copied an email signature from an outlook email and pasted it into the Dynamics CRM signature editor. See screenshot No 1 (anonymized).

You can see that there is a transparent table used to position the image and text in the signature. This was invisible in the outlook email but pasting it to Dynamics signature editor made it visible.

Size of image within the table is fine. See the size that I highlighted yellow in screenshot No 2:

But when I send the email with this signature from Dynamics, the images size changes to very big within the email. I then downloaded the image from the original email (from where I had copied the signature from screenshot No 1). It looks small size. However, when I checked the size of the downloaded image I can see that the size is very big. See screenshot No 2 highlighted in red.

So my solution is:

When using tables in Dynamics 365 signature editor, make sure that the original size of the image equals the desired size of the image within the table. 'Shrinking' the size of an image within a table (in using the image properties) is obviously not working here as this will be ignored when sending the email. I assume it's either a broken HTML or CSS tag or a bug. Anyways - when I had resized the originally used image (I used the MS program "Paint" for the resizing) and replaced the original image within the table (in Dynamics Signature Form's Editor) with my resized images, an email that I've sent (which used this signature) looked as desired in my sent emails (Dynamics 365, and also Outlook sent folder) and the recipient's received email also contained correctly sized images, so everything looked fine.
(Btw when replacing the original image with the resized image: don't forget to insert the URL (right-click on the image, then 'image properties') if you want to link the image to a website) Good luck!

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to seek assistance regarding a problem I am facing when sending emails from Dynamics and viewing them in Outlook. The issue pertains to the scaling of the email signature, which appears disproportionately large in Outlook.

Whenever I compose an email using Dynamics and include my email signature, it appears correctly within the Dynamics interface. However, when the email is received and viewed in Outlook, the signature appears significantly larger than intended. This discrepancy in scaling is causing inconvenience and an unprofessional appearance in our email communications.

I have attempted various troubleshooting measures to address this issue, including adjusting the signature layout and resizing the signature image. However, these attempts have not yielded the desired outcome. The problem persists consistently when emails sent from Dynamics are viewed in Outlook.

For your reference, we are using the latest versions of both Dynamics and Outlook, and our email signatures are configured to include a company logo image. It is important for us to maintain a consistent and visually appealing representation across our email communications, regardless of the platform or email client used.

Hi Partner,

I don't know how your signature was designed, so I would like to show you the steps I took to change the size of the signature picture:

1.I created a signature and inserted an image into it.

2.I just selected an image file without making any adjustments.

3.I used the signature I just created in the email and sent it out, the image was out of place large.

4.So I resized the signature picture and sent an email again. To be on the safe side I clicked the lock ratio button twice.

5.The results are as follows:

Obviously, the size has been reduced.

Also, besides signature images, do other images inserted into emails have the same problem? Is there any blurring of the enlarged images?

This could be an adaptive sizing issue caused by a failure of the fixed size of the image.

To rule out this possibility, you need to confirm if the same situation exists for emails opened on other accounts.
