I am trying to remove one particular site from some of my inventory items. When I goto qty/Sites and try to remove this site it gives the error

"this item site record can't be deleted because an unposted transaction exists"

It does it for all items with this site. I have no unposted transactions in the system for any items. Please help what I need to do to fix this problem. Thanks in advance.

User following Sql script to delete particular site, but make sure that there shouldn't be any Trx of items associated to site.

    DELETE

    IV00102 WHERE LOCNCODE = '<YOUR SITE>'

After executing above script you will be able to delete site.

You  may not have an unposted transaction but it seems you are using the site somehow.  This includes:  (1) A pending sale of an item from the site; (2) A pending PO for items that are purchased for the site, (3) manufacturing orders referring to the site, (4) quatity on hand, on order, allocated, returned, etc for the items in the site.

I just posted a new Tip and Trick to our web site that describes how to properly delete a site.  Visit www.AccoladePublications.com , click on Learning Tools, then Tips and Tricks.  It is the first tip in the new Tips and Tricks section.  It is an excerpt from out Confessions of a Dynamics GP Consultant book.
