Comparing two fields with a If condition in a process workflow

Hello,

I want to create to create a process background workflow, where I want to have a simple If condition,

It should simply compare the Primary Contact field from Account with the Full Name field from Contacts. But I can not select a field which I want to compare with, I can only select a specific contact via a lookup search.

To make the comparison vice-versa also does not work, compare the Full Name field from Contact equals with... only allows me to compare with a value which I manually enter, see screenshot below.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

    Hi,

Click on input box and from the right side Form Assistance Look for Contact then Full Name field from the fields list and add to the input.

if you are not able to see Form Assistance or not able to save the changes then that should be browser issue, try to do the changes from IE or chrome.

    Hi,

The solution to your describe problem would be to use Dynamics Form Assistant. When you click on the value field, on the right side you would notice a Form Assistant. Select Dynamics value in the first field, then you can specify the Entity name and the field with which you would like to compare the value with. The same process could be useful for you if you want to assign one value from another entity.

Refer to this book for more information: https://crmbook.powerobjects.com/system-administration/processes/workflows/

    Thanks

Thank you. This was I was looking for, but almost.

The field which I want to compare 'Full Name' from Contact with 'Primary Contact' from Account entity is missing in my list.

Also missing when I want to compare it vice-versa.

    Hi,

Could you tell us what type of field is 'Primary Contact'?

    Hi,

You cannot compare string with lookup value. if you want to compare with "Primary Contact" then you have to select "Contact" instead of Full Name.

    Hello,

Above Srevalli, already suggested you can not directly compare with full name with lookup as lookup internally taking  GUID reference. That's why primary contact I'd field not showing when you are comparing with text field.

So instead of full name  you can directly compare with  the contact lookup.
