securit context of asynchronous workflow

I create a workflow and set the scope to User (default). So I own the workflow. When another user  makes bulk changes on records that will trigger the workflow, which records will this workflow affect?

Will it affect only the records owned by me since I am the owner of the workflow or will it  affect only the records owned by the user who triggered it.

or will it affect both of ours records in which bulk edit has been made.

Thanks in advance

Scope "User" means that the workflow will only run when the user who owns the workflow makes changes. It will not trigger when other users make changes. If you want a workflow to also automatically trigger when other users make changes you need to increase the scope.

Workflows run under the security context of the owner of the workflow. If you have one of the higher scopes to make your workflow trigger for other users, then it shouldn't be able to change those objects which you (the workflow owner) do not have access to.

By selecting User as the scope, only the records owned by the current user are affected by the process even if the user has organizational-level access rights.
