Does anyone know if the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer Toolkit is compatible with CRM 2016 v8.1 or is it recommended to use Johan Kuster's Dynamics CRM 2016 Developer Toolkit for Visual Studio 2015?

It should work, based on the product details as it uses a version of the SDK that works with CRM 2016 8.1, but I have not tested it out.
