Allow to use credentials for e-mail processing DISABLE

How to enable the "Allow to use credentials for e-mail processing" checkbox? On the mailbox record, the field is greyed out.

I use email router, http protocol, pop3/smpt without ssl.

I added the registry entry called "DisableSecureDecryptionKey" (value 1) which worked on CRM 2011 but now I doesn't do the trick anymore.

Please help me. I spent so much time...

Thanks in advance,

Masha

Access the crm using https then you will see this option enabled. If you access crm in http mode it will be disabled

Thanks Chitarasan! for you prompt solution.  unfortunately crm is currently available with http. I enabled it by set the value true of AllowCredentialsEntryViaNonSecureChannels.

If you're using HTTP for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, the User Name and Password fields will be disabled. To enable the option, change the value of the deployment property AllowCredentialsEntryViaNonSecureChannels to 1.

Usually this key does not exists by default , you have to create it . Create new dword value with name AllowCredentialsEntryViaNonSecureChannels under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSCRM and set value to 1.

If you know how to use deployment power shell. Here are the steps to create this key and value

    PS C:\Users\Administrator>Add-PSSnapin Microsoft.Crm.PowerShell

    PS C:\Users\Administrator> $setting = Get-CrmSetting ServerSideSyncEmailSettings

    PS C:\Users\Administrator> $setting.AllowCredentialsEntryViaNonSecureChannels=$True

    PS C:\Users\Administrator> Set-CrmSetting $setting

    PS C:\Users\Administrator> Get-CrmSetting TraceSettings

Create registry key is not a solution.

Only using PowerShell script helped to resolve problem.

    Thanks, Chitra
