Merging contacts - parent account field is not visible in the merge form

I'm trying to figure out the reason "parent account" field is not present in the merge form for contacts.
Scenario: I'm merging two contacts, they both have different parent accounts. We are lead to assume the master parent account won't be changed but there is no visual indication on the form.

    Hi Emerson

    Relationships are not visible on the merge form only field values you want to retain, but its visible on the record view before you merge, once you click OK to Merge, If the Master has a Parent the duplicate record will become deactivated and the Master inherits all its child records and still keeps the parent, If the Master does not have a parent and the duplicate does it still gets deactivated so it will lose the parent relationship, so you will have to manually assign the parent once its merged.
