Hello Experts,

I am unable to configure Cartons, Manufactures and Sales rep as these are not available

Inventory Management > Inquiries and reports > Tracking dimensions > Cartons

Inventory Management > Inquiries and reports > Tracking dimensions > Manufacturers

 

Inventory Management > Inquiries and reports > Tracking dimensions > Sales reps

 

Any idea why these are not available?

    Hi,

     

    The tracking dimensions Cartons, Manufacturers, and Sales reps aren't standard concepts in Dynamics 365 F&O. If you have seen these in another environment, they might be part of a customization or add-on solution. 

    If Sales reps is about sales representatives, then in my opinion, this is a weird implementation of a tracking dimension.

    As Andre mentioned, Cartons, Manufacturers, and Sales reps are not available as Tracking dimension in d365.

     

    To track this I would recommend following :-

    • Cartons - Using unit of measure on Item master (If the sales is done in Cartons then sales unit otherwise Inventory Units, If any other UOM is being used then you need to define the conversion as well like 1 Carton = 100 pieces)
    • Manufacturers - Maintain batch as tracking dimension and enable vendor batch details.
    • Sales reps - Use financial dimension to track Sales representive.
