how to restrict a particular user from deleting records of a specified entity

Hi All,

I have a requirement to restirct users having sales rep as their security role from deleting some records. We have a customized entity called as "areas" in which we have some associated entities like city and province. We need to restrict sales rep from deleting records of these associated entities like city and province on areas form page.

Hi,

You could possibly remove the delete rights from the sales rep security role itself.

This is straight forward requirement as mentioned I believe. Please remove delete access from respective user security role.

I have removed create, write and delete privelege also for that user role. But still I'm able to delete.

Could you please check all roles assigned for that user ?

You can try below things:

1. Remove the delete rights from the sale rep. Security role

2. See if user belongs to a team and that team has delete rights. Either remove the user from that team if possible or remove the delete rights from the teams security role

3. Check if the user have multiple security role that have the delete rights. Either remove user's additional security or remove delete rights from that additional security role
