I am working in D365 CRM online environment and My workflow is getting failed due to timeout exception, if the workflow execution time is exceeds over 2 mins (2 min is default for workflow). Requesting you to please suggest any solution to overcome this issue..

Actually In my case, dividing logic in multiple custom workflow activity is bit tricky as the code is complex but I'll try to do it. Meanwhile if you have any other solution, please do let me know.

What you can do is to improve your code performance .
Try to divide your logic into multiple custom workflow activity.
