New Dashboards, how to restrict viewing by security role

Posted on by 14

Hi all, I created 4 new system dashboards, and two of them should only be viewed by managers. I removed the sales role from the manager dashboards but they are still visible in dashboards. Would that be because they have basic user and sales enterprise app access or any other security role that would give them permission to see them?

Thanks in advance...

    Hi Debbie CRM,

Are you calling on my number?

For the roles selected or assigned to this Dashboard, the user must not have any of that role or the User must not have any association with the roles associated with the dashboard.

    Are you getting my point?

Do I have to unselect all the other security roles from this dashboard?

Hi Abdul yes this is how I unselected the sales rep role from the dashboard but they can still see it. Is it because it is the default dashboard?

    Hi Debbie CRM,

Is this how you configured it?

Yes that is correct, I removed the sales rep role from the new dashboards for managers but they can still see them.  Would the fact that they can see all opportunities and not just the user level give them access to the new dashboards because they are all on the opportunity table?

    Hi Debbie CRM,

This means the user does not have a manager role but He can see the Dashboard enable for a manager security role. Am I right?
