DIXF: Importing Customer Records with Financial Dimension

(0) ShareShare

Hi,

I am currently attempting to import customer records using "Customer" entity.

Is there a filed corresponding to the financial dimensions, so that I could directly specify financial dimensions per customers?

Currently, I am aware of one method, that is to link customer groups with financial dimensions, then specify customer groups on the filed for DIXF import function.

Sincerely,

ABTS

Yes, There is field called defaultDimension, you can specify the dimension value as per sequence. It should work. Please go to first source data format and set the default diemsnion sequence as per accounting structure and provide the value as below string.

    Exm:

    dept-Cost-Purpose

    d_089-c_67-

    Mr.Roy,

Thank you so much for your insight.

If I'd like to represent the default financial dimension as as shown below,

then how should the defaultDimension field be filled?

    Default_2D00_Dimension-Gr.PNG

I have attempted the entry below where I could not populate the target:

    BussinessUnit-CostCenter-Department-IntemGroup-Project
    002-008-023-Consume-

    Best Regards,

    ABTS

Please set the sequence in Data import export framework module -> source data formats -> application -> dimension code -> select the sequence there first and input your dimension value as per this sequence.

    Hi Bhaskar,

I found a weird logic in DIXF importing customers with financial dimensions.

I found that the code is made to create values in Customer financial dimension tables, if the values are not found.

To a financial functional, this is a none sense and very dangereous... because we dont want any values to be created we want the logic to do a validation on the missing value and throw an error..

Can you please explain to me the logic behind this? Or do you know how can i avoid the system to execute this logic standard? or this a code correction

Or Concatenate those 6 financial fields with Excel, and load from there to the field DefaultDimensionStr on the Entity
