Domain in Admin Center and External accountant user

Hello everyone!

I have two questions:

1) Can I change domain of the users in admin.microsoft.com so they can log into BC with their old email addresses? I have found this instruction, but maybe you have some experience? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/setup/add-or-replace-your-onmicrosoftcom-domain?view=o365-worldwide

2) When I am inviting external accountant into my BC, he/she needs to have email address with the domain of my organization? Or email address (doamin) doesn't matter in this case ?

Daniele thank you. But I don't understand one thing "The accountant’s email address must be a work address that is based on Azure Active Directory".

So I should first create a user on Admin Center with new email address and then invite him with this address from BC?

For example, my external accountant has email accountant@accountant.com, but my organization has domain @XYZ.com.

So I need to add external accountant as a User in Admin Center, create for him email address with our domain Accountant@XYZ.com and then send invitaion for new address?

Hi, no, this does not require the same Domain.

When the user accepts the invitation, the user account will be added to your system in the following format.

In admin center:
