Hello all,
Our organization is preparing an implementation of Dynamics BC v18 and we are investigating integrations with our existing instance D365 CE.
Our business requirement is to be able to operate in BC on data synced from CE so we are looking at synchronization of a large number of tables.
Two sync methods appear to match our sync requirements:
- Integrating through native Dataverse solution as documented here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/admin-common-data-service
- Using Power Automate to sync virtual tables using the new functionality in BC v18
- Using Azure Logic Apps to sync tables between CE and BC.
Our experience with option #1 has not always been great. Additionally, this solution does not synchronize all of our required tables so this is not our preferred option. However, if performance has improved with the most iteration of this connector I'd love to hear from anyone that is currently using this integration.
Is there an advantage to using Azure Logic Apps over Power Automate? It's our understanding that the two are functionally similar but may have different limits in the number of calls that can be made daily/monthly.
Are there any other ways other than above to synchronize large numbers of tables between CE and BC so CRM data can be used in BC?
Thank you!
