Unable to install MPOS - D365

Posted on by 1,066

Hi All,

While installing a customized MPOS package, I am getting the below error message in event logs:

System.Exception: Deployment failed with HRESULT: 0x800B0109, A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider.

error 0x800B0109: The root certificate of the signature in the app package or bundle must be trusted.

Before installing the customized MPOS package I had installed the certificate in " Trusted Root Certification Authorities ".

Even after installing the certificate I am getting this error.

Hi, did you try to double click on your certificate (after installing it) - and checking, if it is shown as valid or still not valid? Can be, that you should put it into Trusted publishers too

    Try below Resolution:

In order to be able to install Custom MPOS you should follow the below articles:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../pos-app-signing-certificate

    docs.microsoft.com/.../retail-pos-activation-changes

    community.dynamics.com/.../certificate-issue-with-retail-modern-pos

In order the Extensions for your Custom MPOS to work properly yоu should remove the mention to the resources file in the manifest of the extension/s

If it still not working, please log a new service request to double check with Microsoft Retail support team.

    Hi Steven

The link you have mentioned is for activation of MPOS.

Before the application to be activated it needs to be installed first.

I have mentioned in my post that the issue is regarding the installation of MPOS customized application.

So if you could check my issue regarding installation?
