Microsoft Dynamics Ax - Retail POS

I have a situation :

Consider a situation in which I am working complete offline in Retail POS. I made 20k transactions.

At end of day I get internet connectivity for fractions of seconds , so now Async Server will connect to Async Client and try to create .rpf file in working Folder. But before rpf file is created completely connection goes off.

What will happen in this case?

1. rpf file is partially created?

2. rpf file will not be created at all and system will create rpf file after establishing connection?

3.Will there be any data loss during these?

Thanks in Advance

    Hi Goldie,

As per my experience, the rfp file will be created for the entire data that you want to distribute to the store. If you loose connectivity, then the distribution will go on hold and will resume once the connectivity is regained. There should not be any loss in data.

There is no limitation for the max size of rfp file but the file size determines the time taken for the data distribution.

    Hope it helps
