Schedule Report in Dynamics 365 Online?

I remember hearing a long time ago that you needed an on premise deployment of CRM if you wanted to schedule a report. Can this now be done with online version of D365?

Does it actually email an excel attachment or is it a link to the report?

Still not possible with online for the SSRS reports. Believe there is some capability if you do Power BI.

Hello.

Yes you can do that and Dynamics keeps snapshots for you that you can download every few days.

To schedule a report, go to the Service section and then Reports.

In this section, click on the report and select the Schedule Report option from the top and make the relevant settings until the end.

Also in this view, you will see an icon next to each report, which by clicking on it, the snapshots of that report will be displayed.

There is no OOB function to schedule report.

However, it seems you can do that byusing Power Automate and a custom solution.

Is this on premise though? That option always used to be there for on premise but not cloud instances. Also when a report is scheduled does it actually email the attachment or is it a link?

Yes, you can Schedule Report in Dynamics 365 Online. Reports Scheduler Add-on developed by Team Soluzione allows you to automatically run reports in Dynamics 365 CE. These can be set to execute on a scheduled interval and send the report as an email attachment.
