I there a way to degrade AX version...?

Hi, we installed a higher CU in our system a long of time ago. Is there a way to go back to earlier versions? I know it's recommended to use the highest update, though I would still like to know.

    I have never heard such request before and there is no easy way to do that. If we are talking about an environment which is already in Production, then the answer would be no - don't try it.

    Due to object/element ID conflicts you would have trouble trying to recreate the lower version modelstore, since model import does not retain the application object IDs.

    Also there is a data upgrade script running usually between versions, and there is no data downgrade. You would have to come up with your own solution for that, by reading through what the upgrade script did. Maybe that data transformation is non-reversible.

    The only reliable way I could think of is to restore a complete database data and modelstore backup from before the upgrade, but then you would not have whatever was added to your system ever since.
