With interest rates the way they are these days we did not earn one cent of interest on our money market funds in January 2010. Seems crazy, but that is not the point. With no activity going through our investment account for the month I am not able to reconcile the account. When I hit the reconcile botton in the select bank transactions screen I get an error that says "Enter or select the items you want to reconcile", but since there was no activity I don't have any. How can I complete the reconciliation for the month? Do I just have to wait until there is activity in the account to complete the reconciliation, say at the end of Feb or March?

Enter a dummy Increase Adjustment and a dummy Decrease Adjustment in your checkbook. Debit and credit the cash account for both transactions. Run your reconcile for the period and clear the two dummy transactions. Your reconcile reports will then print.
