Our CRM online seems to have been working fine forever, but i noticed today that some accounts are missing notes that I had entered in the past few months. Now its hard to be certain because i have no other record of the notes i enter, but when i look at an existing account and its latest note was 6 months ago - i know there has been activity and notes entered more recently.
Is there any way to check whether there might be a problem or is there some audit file that records changes to records that i might be able to refer to? More importantly, if they have somehow been deleted, how can i recover?

Thanks this helps to look for changes. Unfortunately auditing was not enabled for the organisation so there isn't any useful data to review. The advanced find was a good idea and shows a consistent regular creation of notes. With auditing enabled perhaps this will uncover any issues when i review it in a few weeks time. Thanks again.
Hi Jm2012, thanks for reaching out.
I have never seen records gone missing like this in CRM Online. But don't doubt that something could happen. If you have audit enabled for the organization, and audit enabled for the Notes record you can look at the Settings > Auditing and Audit Summary view will show you the all the events tracked by the system. If you enable filters you can look for the event "Delete" and see if any notes are deleted and by who and when. Same for "Create" to verify notes are being created.
You can also use advanced find to look at Notes sorted by "Created On" and see if there is something strange with how notes are created and being set regarding what account, etc.
Let me know how far this gets you.
