View SQL query behind Smart List

Within Business Objects, there is a handy dandy button that allows me to see the "SQL Query" generated when running a report.

Does the equivalent functionality exist for Smartlists inside of GP? What is the easiest way to see the SQL query generated per smartlist?

Of course, I could dig through the table finder and guess which tables are used, but I was hoping for something more convenient

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi Rod, Can you please confirm what you are trying to do, because the table behind smartlist is complex and there is no one place which gives this all information. If you wanted to know all the main module tables the best place is Victoria's website. Please have a look at the same on the following link. victoriayudin.com/gp-tables

Thanks for your help. I was looking for a way to determine the SQL tables used for Smart Lists. If it is not possible to see the SQL Query directly, then do you know the steps to find the tables and logic used to build the smart list?

    Thanks

    Hi Rod,

Are you looking for the SQL query for the standard GP smartlist object if so then I think its not possible.  But all other custom object using SQL view you can see the same on SQL server.
