I need to make a recording clone. In a certain case, the plugin may copy (update values) to 50k records. Do you think this is possible by deploying the plugin as an azure function ?

Plugin is definitely not a good choice as it's quite possible 2 minutes' plugin execution timeout will happen for such large data processing. Besides AF, you can also consider Power Automation through which to start the copy process automatically
