Cost price not updating while doing movement journals

Hi team,
     On client UAT while doing a movement journal cost price column showing empty. Is there any parameter need to enable?

    Can you provide more information? What is the costing model and what cost do you expect? Are there other inventory transactions for this item having a cost price?

    Hi Andre, 
        I'm using FIFO costing module and cost price which is available under Manage cost fast tab is the latest cost price of the item. 
    It's a new item which has one purchase transaction right now.

    Hi Manekesavan,
     
    In this scenario, it will use the cost from the available on-hand inventory transactions. Depending on the settings (physical cost enabled on item model group or not) and the status of the purchase order it will directly have a cost price based on a current known average cost price. When the purchase order is invoiced, the inventory recalculation and closing will adjust the cost price according to the FIFO principle.

    Hi Manekesavan,
     
    If this parameter is enabled, still there can be scenarios where a cost price will be zero when posting the movement journal as mentioned before. If at the moment of receipt, there was no purchase price known, the value could be zero. Can you check all related inventory transactions for the current status? In case also the PO is invoiced, try to run an inventory recalculation and check the result. Please test this in a non-production environment first.
