Change Organization Name

Hi,

After changing the Display Name of the Production environment in the Dynamics 365 Administration Center the change is not reflected in the system. When logging in as a user, under the profile drop down it still displays what looks like the unique name e.g. org3382434 rather than the Display Name. Has anyone experienced this issue previously?

It looks like peculiar 365 online behavior. You can suggest more improvement regarding this on ideas portal: ideas.dynamics.com/.../dynamics-crm

Hi Sergey, thanks for the response. Would this not be considered a bug opposed to new functionality?

I'm not from MS, but I know lots of different quite critical bugs that hasn't been really addressed and fixed by MS guys for a long time. Thus I'm skeptical regarding that minor issue being accepted as a bug.

For sure feel free to fire support ticket.

    Hi,

I just tried the display name modification operation in my Production Instance. While it seems run normal. Could share some screenshot about your "under the profile drop down it still displays what looks like the unique name". Attached my screenshot.

    1. Edit Instance Name from "WXDynamcisCRMSupport" to "DynamcisCRMSupport"

    2. After Modification, I could see the new name from Instance Panel and About Info.

I just came across this post. The screenshot above is just how to update the instance. I still see the unique name displaying in Dynamics as the org.... I know there was a way in the old administrator portal. I don't see how to do it in the new power platform admin center. The old portal was deprecated.  Microsoft really makes things hard for us Admins.

    Thanks

    Jose F
