Add "mailto" link in text body of RTM e-mail

Hello,

I'm trying to insert a simple mailto link in the text of a RTM e-mail so that a recipient can simply click to send an e-mail to a specific e-mail address - for example:

This used to work, but now just opens a blank browser page instead of opening the e-mail client.

Is there a new way of inserting a mailto link in the RTM e-mail editor?

Hello Tanya!

I tried it here in a trial environment and it worked as expected.

I used below URL:

mailto:email@example.com

Could you check if there are any extra characters in yours? for example, blank spaces.

Have you tried removing the tracking, that has a tendency to break mailto links (not just in Dynamics)

Thank you both for your quick replies and confirmation that this is till the correct way of doing it - most appreciated!

I tried removing tracking and checked for spaces - it still opened a blank browser page.

I now think it has to do with our organisation's customised Google browser set-up - blocking "pop-ups".

I'll investigate this further internally.
