Ledger dimension value

Hi, 

I would like to have diff ledger dimension value depend on journal name. Example

For journal "A", account number 1000- cost center will be 11111 as a fixed value, but for journal "F", with account number 1000, cost center will be 2000 as fixed value. 

Is it possible to make this kind of setup in AX?

    Hi Kacper,

    Fixed financial dimension values can only be defined at the main account level, which is independent of the journal setup. To realize what you describe, a system adjustment is necessary.

    Do you really need the fixed financial dimension feature? Have you tested making use of the default financial dimensions that can be set up for each journal for example in the journal names form?

    Interesting question. If the cost center should be defaulted on each ledger account, the suggestion from Ludwig will work. If not, consider a customization or have a look at the Data Validation Framework from my company which is able to define and enforce rules like you mentioned.
